Shoulder Sleeve Insignia
On a white vertical oval edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) red border, the white bust of a patriot habited in a light blue coat with red collar trim and a white cravat and wearing a black tricorn hat garnished white, all within a white designation band edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) red border and inscribed HILLCREST HIGH SCHOOL at top and PATRIOTS in base in light blue letters. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 3 inches (7.62 cm) in width.
Red and blue are the school colors. The patriot is the schools mascot. Red, white and blue are the colors in the United States flag and reflect the cadets patriotism for school, community and country.

Shoulder Loop Insignia
A gold color metal enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Per fess Gules and Celeste a barrulet crested Or, in chief an open book Argent below an eagles head couped between a pair of wings fesswise Gold, in dexter base a cotton plant bendwise and in sinister base a winged foot Or. Attached above the shield a crest blazoned: From a wreath of four a head in profile to dexter wearing a tricorn hat Or. Attached below the shield a red scroll inscribed HONOR DIGNITY PRIDE in Gold letters.
Red and blue are the school colors. The open book symbolizes academics. The flowering plant signifies agriculture. The winged foot is the symbol of athletics. The American eagle and the head of the colonial symbolize patriotism in America. The school mascot is the patriot.
