Shoulder Sleeve Insignia
On a green shield edged with 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border, 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in width by 4 inches (10.16 cm) in height overall, a white and yellow stylized eagle head detailed black and green descending, on the diagonal from upper left to lower right.
Green and white are the school colors. The eagle is the school mascot.
The shoulder sleeve insignia was originally authorized 5 September 1963. It was cancelled to change the design and update description and symbolism of the new design on 19 May 1993, currently amended to update the manufactured drawing on 2 December 2013. (TIOH Drawing Number A-10S-114)
Shoulder Loop Insignia
A silver color metal enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in width overall consisting of a silver eagle head within a quintuple green scroll turned silver and inscribed on the first, third, and fifth EASTERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY in silver letters.
Green and white (silver) are the school colors. The eagle is the schools mascot.
The shoulder loop insignia was originally authorized 18 March 1974. It was cancelled to change the design and update description and symbolism of the new design on 4 February 1993.
