Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description
A red horizontal lozenge shaped embroidered item with the left and right vertex rounded edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border, displaying a gold Vikings head wearing a blue helmet with white horns.  Attached below the lozenge, a white scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border inscribed VIKING in red, bold letters and Battalion in blue, script letters. The overall dimensions are 2 9/64 inches (5.44 cm) in height and 3 inches (7.62 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Red, white, and blue are the school colors and are indicative of each cadets patriotism, loyalty, and devotion to duty.  The iconic Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign, marking the location of the school, inspires this device. The Viking is the schools mascot and reflects the strength and spirit of the cadets.

Description
A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Gules, a chevron reversed Or in chief a Vikings head with helmed Azure and horned Argent.  Attached above the shield, a Gold scroll inscribed VALLEY VIKINGS in Blue letters.  Attached below the shield, a Gold scroll turned Blue inscribed WE ARE THE TEAM in Blue letters.
