Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description
A shield shaped item with scroll attached below, 3 5/8 inches in height and 3 inches (7.62 cm) in width overall at its widest point, consisting of a shield divided vertically into two halves, red to the dexter and blue to the sinister surmounted by a white vertical stripe, on a green chief fimbriated yellow a white disc bearing a white and yellow compass, the shield within a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border; and attached below the shield a white scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border and inscribed ROOSEVELET in red letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height.

Symbolism
The upper portion of the insignia represents the school district.  The bottom is divided into thirds to illustrate Roosevelts school colors, red, white and blue.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized 24 June 1969 currently amended to include an updated manufactured drawing on 11 April 2014.   (TIOH Drawing Number A-10J-1092)

Description
A Gold color metal enamel device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height consisting of a shield blazoned:  per pale Glues and Azure a pale Argent, on a chief Vert a plate charged with a compass or detailed of the third.  Attached below the shield, a Gold scroll inscribed ROOSEVELT in Red letters.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 10 January 1992.
