Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description
On a vertical rectangle arched convexly at top and bottom edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) white border, divided in quarters alternating oriental blue (Columbia blue) and flag blue (navy blue) displaying cropped and in profile an oriental blue (Columbia blue) stylized jaguar head, detailed flag blue (navy blue), teeth white, eye white, ear detailed white and fimbriated white.  Attached above the rectangle, a flag blue (navy blue) scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) white border inscribed JOHNSON in white letters.   Attached below the rectangle, a flag blue (navy blue) scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) inscribed JAGUARS in white letters.  The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Columbia blue, navy blue and silver are the school colors.  The two shades of blue represent loyalty, a trait the cadets have in their allegiance to one another and their country.  Silver (white) denotes perfection; something in which the cadets endeavor to uphold every day.  The jaguar (the schools mascot) signifies courage, swiftness and power.

Description
A Gold colored metal and enamel device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height overall, consisting of a shield blazoned: Per pale Celeste and Azure (Dark Blue), a pale Argent, on a chief Vert, a plate charged with a compass Or, detailed of the third. Attached below the shield a Gold scroll inscribed JOHNSON in Dark Blue letters.

Symbolism
The bottom portion of the shied is divided into thirds to illustrate school colors:  Columbia blue, navy blue and silver.  The two shades of blues represent loyalty, a trait the cadets have in their allegiance to one another and their country.  Silver (white) denotes perfection; something in which the cadets endeavor to uphold every day. The upper portion represents the school district.  The compass pointing to the north east alludes to the North East Independent School District.
