Shoulder Sleeve Insignia
On a white disc 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in diameter overall, a blue silhouette of the head of Lincoln facing to the sinister within a blue border bearing at the top the inscription LINCOLN and at the bottom UNIVERSITY in white capital letters.
The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized 8 August 1956.
Shoulder Loop Insignia
A silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a blue shield charged with a silver torch with orange flames surmounted by a silver scroll bearing the interlaced letters LU in blue. Below the shield, a silver motto scroll with the inscription LABORARE ET STUDERE in blue letters.
The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 8 August 1956.
