Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description
On  a green oval, embroidered patch 3 5/16 inches (8.41 cm) in height and 3 3/1 inches (8.10 cm) in width, edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border, a silver sword pointed upward diagonally between a silver archway and the black outline of three stylized mountains rising from lower left to upper right.  Around the upper circumference of the circle is inscribed GREEN TERROR BATTALION in yellow block letters.

Symbolism
Green and gold (yellow) are the colors of the college.  The mountains depict the schools sister college, Mount Saint Marys, and the mountains terrain in which they are located.  The sword represents leadership.  The arch represents the gateway to the college.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was originally authorized 15 May 1984.  It was amended to include a manufacturing drawing and to update the description and symbolism on 16 July 1999, later the design was cancelled due to the name change of the school and update the description and symbolism of the new design on 4 June 2003.    (TIOH Drawing Number A-10S-168)

Description
A gold color metal enamel device 1 1/8 inches (3.18 cm) in width consisting of a green shield bearing an open book in perspective between two upright closed books all green detailed gold, the two closed books connected by a narrow gold horizontal bar, issuing from the top of the shield in the vertical center a cloud emitting a semi-circular pattern of rays below a hand, all gold.  Attached below the shield, a three segmented green scroll inscribed E TENEBRIS on the dexter segment, IN on the center segment, and LUCEM VOCO on the sinister segment, all in base metal letters.

Symbolism
Green and gold (yellow) are the school colors.  The books, bar, cloud, hand, rays and motto are from the seal of the College.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was originally authorized 12 February 1981.  It was amended to change the name of the school and update the description and symbolism of the new design on 4 June 2003.
