Shoulder Sleeve Insignia
On a light disc 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in diameter, a black passion cross in base slightly to the right of center, the left horizontal arm of the cross in front of a white torch with a yellow flame, the flame extending above the cross, between at top in dark blue lettering in inscription GONZAGA and in base the inscription ROTC.
Background: The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized 18 May 1956 currently amended to update the manufactured drawing on 10 July 2014. (TIOH Drawing Number A-10S-226)
Shoulder Loop Insignia
A gold color metal enamel insignia 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a blue enamel shield arced in base on which is between a gold lamp enflamed to dexter and gold torch of knowledge enflamed to sinister a white enamel cross above a gold stylized eagle with wings displayed horizontally grasping in its talons a gold horizontally arrow. Attached above the shield a red enamel horizontal scroll inscribed GONZAGA in gold letters.
The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 26 May 76.
