Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description
On a blue keystone-shaped device edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border, a white rope entwined anchor between the inscriptions PERRY and COMMODORES.  The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 3 41/64 inches (9.25 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Royal blue and white are the school colors.  Royal blue (blue) symbolizes devotion, an attribute the cadets have for each other and their country.  White alludes to perfection, a trait the cadets aspire to achieve in all they do.  The keystone represents the State of Pennsylvania where the school resides.  The anchor is the schools mascot, which reflects the schools namesake Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry; famous for his actions in the War of 1812.  The students identify with their mascot in their pursuit of academic as well as athletic achievements.

Description

A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height overall consisting of a blue keystone, displaying a silver rope entwined anchor.  Attached above the keystone, a blue scroll inscribed PERRY in silver.  Attached below the keystone, a blue scroll inscribed COMMODORES in silver.
