Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description

On a teal disc embroidered item edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border, a white diagonal stripe from top left to bottom right, inscribed in the center following the diagonal stripe “MMH” in teal. Overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in diameter.


Symbolism

The school colors are teal and white. Teal signifies creativity and wisdom, and white alludes to brilliance and sincerity. The design shares a similar appearance for all shoulder sleeve insignias that fall under the Dallas Independent School District to unite and differentiate the schools from others.

Description

On a shield shaped gold metal and epoxied device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height blazoned as follows: Teal, a stylized jaguar rampant Or throughout. Surmounting the top of the shield a mullet Argent, held between arched rays of light Or, extending from mullet to top of shield. Attached at the bottom of the shield, a White scroll inscribed “JAGUAR BATTALION” in Gold.


Symbolism

The school colors are teal and white. The jaguar is the school’s mascot, signifying confidence, leadership, and an appetite for success. The star is a symbol of the Lone Star state, Texas, and it further highlights the student’s goal to achieve excellence.
